What a stunning sunrise. The variation in temperatures in a day is mind boggling, I can't imagine!
-
- Happy New Year Kev! Well, 2020 wasn't all bad - look at how much you were able to achieve and how much better you can do things now!
-
Asha, I am so grateful that your son insisted you go to the hospital. And grateful that you didn't have any further deficits!
-
After all you are going through, I really hope the surgery is successful. As with stroke, recovery is slower than you would like. We are all there for you - be sure to reach out if you need a virtual hug or a shoulder to cry or whine on! I hope that wearing the mouth guard will help!

That's the challenge, isn't it? Knowing how far to push and when to pull back. Kev, your determination is really inspiring to me and I find myself trying new ways to keep improving. Thanks for taking the time to write this.

I have to add, I had stroke symptoms 2 months prior to the actual stroke. Numbness and tingling in my left arm and hand.
I went to the ER, and they didn`t pick up on it, or do a CT scan at that time.

You are loved Kelli! We all do the best we can.

Deb looks so cozy!

That must have been such a fantastic feeling, to realize what a complex maneuver you managed Kev! I am glad you are blogging, so you can see how much you have progressed. And what a great tomato harvest! Yum!

The neurologist gave me a referral to the rehab centre. And I am happy to report that I am now on the waitlist. I will start at the beginning again, being assessed and then working with therapists to get me back out there!

They are absolutely beautiful! And how nice to be able to contribute.
I am a card maker too, and I can see the time and effort put into these!
-
What a beautiful bounty from the garden! And it's so great to hear how much your hard work is paying off Kev! Keep at it, you are an inspiration to all of us.
-
Yes please! I would love to see Carrah's work!! I have never used gouache myself.
-
Oh Tracy, you brought tears to my eyes. I am blessed to have met you. And all of you on this site, what a gift!
As far as art goes, for me, it's the fun of putting colour to paper, and to see what happens. If the result isn't what I wanted, no worries, I have learned something. Gotta keep those little cells busy!!!

I am happy to report that my neurologist replied at 7:10am!!!
He wants to see me in person for an assessment, and said he will likely be able to clear me to drive.
So, there will hopefully be another update on September 9th.

Take a deep breath. Close your eyes and breathe. See? You are still breathing, you are still alive.
You will find the earring when you are not looking for it. Suddenly, you will look down, and say "Ah! There it is!".
We all have days where it seems that nothing goes right. Where we think and say something we wish we didn't. The best thing to do is to apologize to the person we hurt, and realize that we really are just human.
Frustration leads to upset, I think that's pretty normal.
Trust that your faith will carry you, not punish you. It has so far!

Oh no Kevin! I hope you heal up quickly. Please join us sometime for a chat - we miss you!

Happy Anniversary Asha!
And you score big points for finding a way to do things yourself. It always feels good to learn something new and be able to accomplish things we didn't thinkwere possible.
Have a lovely anniversary.

Wow Kev! It's great to hear how much things are improving for you. And those tomatoes look amazing. So does your home, by the way.
-
Congratulations Kev! It's wonderful to follow your story and see how much you have improved, and how much you are now able to accomplish! Keep safe, and keep posting. And thank you for taking the time to blog.
-
It's gorgeous! And what a lot of work you put into it! It doesn't look amateurish at all, and your colour choices are lovely.
-
I am a card maker too and your card is really lovely! Lots of thought and work was put into this.

Congratulations Kev! I am glad the speech went well.
